BUBBLE CAN Review: Knuckleheads “The BBQ Flue”
Knuckleheads is only in it’s third episode and it has proven to be one of my favorite shows on Adult Swim, period. Bringing a unique animation style to the table along with fun dialogue and situations, it all blends together to make an entertaining twenty-two minutes of television. So how was the third episode? Read on to find out!
When a new virus called the “BBQ flu” breaks out, the local hospital gets swamped with patients.
This is probably my least favorite of Knuckleheads so far. That isn’t saying very much since I loved the first two, but there were a couple of things missing in this episode that really made the first two stand out. First, the plot of the episode. While the first two episodes followed a plot from start to finish, this one didn’t really have a story. It was more of a compilation of various situations happening in the hospital. They were funny to watch, but there wasn’t much to keep me engaged in what was happening.
The second weak point of the episode was the amount of characters. There were a lot of characters in the first two episodes, but with a plot came obvious protagonists. With this episode lacking a plot, a main character doesn’t rise to the top. It’s a bunch of different characters all getting roughly the same amount of screen time. It’s bunch of little stories all trying to be told, but unfortunately some of them weren’t that interesting and lost focus when compared to others.
Those were the two main issues. Besides those, I really enjoyed this episode. The hilarious dialogue, interesting characters, and weird situations. You can expect all of that and more.
Overall, not the strongest episode but there are still plenty of laughs to be had with this episode. The weak points stem from the structure of the story, the actual content of the episode was all gold.

"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
