Review: The Garfield Show “My Cousin Petunia”
Spoilers Below
John is having his twin nieces over which of course worries the pets in the house because these girls can be annoying. This time around, however, the girls seem disinterested in bothering anyone. We find out that the girls have been dealing with a bully at the park named Greta whom picks on them and bums them out. Garfield hates bullying so he devises a plan where he dresses up as a lady and gets back at Greta making her swear never to bully again.
We come to find out that the reason Greta is a bully is because SHE often gets bullied by three boys at the park. To help, the twins come up with a plan of their own to get back at the three boys and it scares them off for good. Greta opts to be friends with the twins, and Garfield swears he won’t tease others as well.
Our Take
Not a bad show. The animation director loves zooming in a LOT and the show looks like it was produced 10 years ago, but the heart of the show is there, and Frank Welker does a good job of playing the titular character. Best yet, an important lesson is learned about bullying and it’s a concept that is still relative even today.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
