Review: Long Live the Royals “The Feast”
Spoilers Below
Alex wants to go find himself the fabled Yule Hare, but he’s too young to go rabbit hunting with the King and all of his men. As a result, Alex runs away to go find the hare himself. First he runs into the local forest dwellers, but they aren’t any help, so he moves on and eventually does find the big huge hare. After meeting the friendly rabbit, Alex wants no part in hunting the Yule Hare, and convinces his dad and family not to harm his new found friend. The feast goes on as planned with frozen hare and a bunch of other lavish affair.
Our Take
The meeting with the forest dwellers made no sense what-so-ever, but overall a fitting conclusion to Long Live the Royals. The episode’s final scene included a nice run-through of all those we met during the course of the mini-series as they sit down to a meal which is indicative of the holiday spirit. The big-ass rabbit was pretty awesome, and it was hilarious the way the Kings men would “hunt” with Rufus.
We also learned that Alex is a stronger character than first thought. I honestly had preconceived notions of a medieval Dennis the Menace, but was pleasantly surprised to see the character show heart, strong will, and a burning desire to prove people wrong. Those are commendable traits, and I kinda wish we saw more of that from Alex, but at least we got to see it.
SCORE
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
