TPB Review: Rick and Morty Vol. 1
When I first heard the concept for a Vol 1. of Rick and Morty trade paper back, I really thought the producers would’ve gone The Simpsons route or even better the Boom Studios route with Regular Show and such offering not only back issues of the comics, but access to alternate covers and what not. Heck, even The Simpsons will include some special shorts or whatnot just to spice things up.
Unfortunately, that is NOT the case with Rick and Morty Vol 1. as all you get are the first five issues of a comics series that is pretty good, but offers little in added value to fans whom may have already purchased said issues already. If the comic series hopes to really build up and be 1/10th the size of The Simpsons in terms of mass appeal, extensions of the series like so need to be cared for.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
