Star Wars Rebels gets picked up for third season by Disney XD which surprises no one

Star Wars Rebels is one of Disney XD’s biggest series, and is one of the premiere franchises on television. Therefore, a third season pickup for Star Wars Rebels which was announced this morning should surprise no one at all.

Episodes of the third season are set to air sometime in 2016, but we still have a couple of episodes that have yet to air for the show’s second season including this Wednesday Night’s episode entitled “The Future of the Force”. In it, the Rebels learn that the Inquisitors are seeking Force-sensitive children, and they work together to protect the young ones from the Inquisitors’ pursuit.

Star Wars Rebels airs this Wednesday Night only on Disney XD @ 9:30 pm ET/PT, check your local listings.
