Review: Spongebob Squarepants “Patrick! the Game; The Sewers of Bikini Bottom”
Spoilers Below
“Patrick! the Game;
Patrick isn’t exactly thrilled with the current crop of board games, so he decides to make up one of his own! Enter, a new game that really doesn’t have any rules or rhyme or reason. So much so that when Squidward tries to play it, he just gets annoyed and destroys the board that Patrick made and gets sent to real jail.
Our Take
To be quite honest, I was on Squidward’s side this whole time. Fortunately, all the arguments that ensued made this show super funny. That, and the messed up faces that Spongebob and the others were making at the end. Nothing ground breaking, just good ol’ fashioned.

The Sewers of Bikini Bottom”
Mr. Krabs is heading to a game taking place at a stadium that is now named after his restaurant. As a result, Squidward and Spongebob are left behind to watch the place while their boss is gone. After a while, Squid convinces Spongebob to throw shit down the toilet which includes a safe which holds a secret recipe locked in there by Squid. The two end up having to go down into the sewers of Bikini Bottom in order to try and get it, but they both end up getting eaten by a snake along with the safe.
Meanwhile, back at the stadium, the person who built the stadium is getting reamed out by the owner because the other dude cut corners in designing the plumbing. As a result, the half-time flush ensues and the stadium gets flooded, but is some how plunged by a huge robotic arm. As a result, the snake comes back up, is sliced by the stadium owner, and it causes the snake to be flushed down with a bunch of water which then spews out the safe, Spongebob, and Squidward back at the restaurant.
Our Take
By far, the better of the two episodes. The leeches eating Squidward’s eyes was sick but I wish they had showed an animation of him putting his eyes back in. Instead, the producers kinda just skip through it. The underground world seemed rather mesmerizing, and the dreary backgrounds were a great way to mix up the settings that featured the football stadiums which were bright and lively. The whole deal with the stadium is shit that happens in real life EVERY DAY. Teams the world over nickle and dime you all the while skipping out on the essentials. Kudos to the writers for bringing this to light.

"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
