Review: Sanjay and Craig “Freaks and Cheeks”

Sanjay and Craig have to dog sit for Hector while he’s away, but Craig wants to stick around and find cool shit to do. The duo ends up finding a remote control for the house and even open the door for some sort of scary creature. The shifty bastard ends up being a coyote that chases the guys (now with the dog) into a closet. Several days later, the trio moves through the vents and heads into Hector’s room, but without the dog. As a result, Sanjay and Craig try to man up and go after their ONE responsibility, but Hector’s family comes home and lets us know that the coyote and their dog are actually in love. Hector’s dad wants his house fixed up though.

Our Take

The twist at the end was AWESOME. It caught me totally by surprise, and the trip to get there was a lot of fun as well. Craig wearing his mom’s jeans reminded me of a former writer we had on staff. Nothing like a grown 30 year old man wearing mom jeans, it’s hilarious every time. Also, season three continues to show a DRASTIC improvement over season two in terms of how they are written and produced, it’s almost like someone came and breathed new life into a series that seemed all but lost near the end of season two.
