Review: Adventure Time “Stakes” “May I Come In?”
The baddy is tough to beat. The story is zippy. And everything has a place in Adventure Time’s “Stakes” Part 6: “May I Come In?”
Hierophant, a shape-shifting vampire bound – like his name suggests – to traditions, squares off against the most untraditional heroes imaginable. But first, he interrupts the Princess King of Ooo’s hunting party, and asks Peppermint Butler’s permission to come in and visit with Marcy. Pep Butt shows a bit too much hubris, and the villain finds a new trail to pursue.
The trail leads him to the slayer crew (Marcy, PB, LSP, Jake, and Finn) who are tracking down a ton of vampire junk with PB’s vampire thingy. Thanks to a text from Pep, the crew has time to setup for the incoming vamp. Finn’s unarmed, tethered neck served as bait, and LSP’s stake-spiked body severed as the wrecking ball. But, – unlike the previous two disappointing villains – Hierophant aint goin’ out like that.
Some quick thinking by Jake keeps the vampire out in the cold, but not before giving Marcy a nasty wound.
Do they defeat Hierophant? Can Marcy recover from her injury? Is the King’s horse named Hey Nancy, or it that just the way he gets the equine to getty up? It’s definitely worth watching to find out.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
