Review: Adventure Time “Mama Said”
Spoilers Below
Not the boo-boo best episode, but “Mama Said” gets back to the adventurous side of Adventure Time.
K.O.O. starts the episode crazy, and just rides the crazy wave to the end. He sends Jake and Finn on an actual adventure, though. After capturing footage of a mysterious, hovering disk, Princess King of Ooo sends the duo to fetch a flying mushroom to function as his royal mode of transportation.
The two find Canyon singing in a field, and offer to help find her family’s sacred spring. After a hologram call, some slight of hand, and a change of plans, Jake and Finn discover just how difficult it is to catch a giant flying mushroom.
Unable to safely wrangle the beast, the heroes refuse to return to the kingdom empty handed. They instead return with an advanced mushroom pizza – that might be able to fly if one believes hard enough – in hand. K.O.O. is less than impressed, and releases them from their royal duties.
Although the majority of the episode seemed superfluous to the mini-series, it’s still fun to watch and there is a song and dance at the end performed by the Banana Guard.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
