New Music Out Today 11/6/15: Moonbeam City Soundtrack

Moonbeam City is the new hit series from famed animation studio Titmouse (Superjail!, Metalocalypse, The Venture Bros.). The series follows Dazzle Novak (Rob Lowe), a loose cannon police detective with the Moonbeam City PD, and his attempts to clean the city’s neon-soaked streets. Elizabeth Banks, Will Forte, and Kate Mara round out the principal voice cast. The neon-drenched series is stylishly animated with unmistakable art design and is strongly influenced by 1980s crime dramas. The pumping electronic soundtrack to the series is provided by Night Club, a prominent Synthpop band from Los Angeles. Futuristic and energetic, Night Club’s work underscores the signature 80s sensibilities of the show with furious beats and hypnotic synthesizer blasts. Rob Lowe features on “Cop This Town” and “Bibbity Bride”, while Will Forte sings on “Eat Crap (Rad’s Rap).
