Bubbleblabber vs Carl’s Stone Cold Pick of the NFL Week 10: Panthers vs Titans (2015)

How about them apples? I took arguably the upset pick last week with Vikings and was able to tie up Carl in the standings (4-5) and from the looks of it, we’ll both be at the .500 mark by the end of this weekend. This week, Carl is picking the Panthers vs Titans game:

Let’s breakdown both teams:

Carolina Panthers

There was a story that came out a couple seasons ago with FOX Sports talking about how Panthers coach Ron Rivera sought out John Madden so as to get some feedback on his team. Madden came packing with a breakdown of video and a bunch of advice on how to handle Cam Newton, most notably to limit the amount of damage that Newton takes so as to not end up like an RG3. Fast forward to today, and that advice is working in spades because the Panthers are undefeated.

Tennessee Titans

Despite the fact that Mariota is back and playing well, this is a team in transition as the Titans fired Ken Whisenhunt a couple of weeks back. That’s a lot of pressure for the Rookie QB to take on his back, but I think this one gets closer than most thing. The Panthers have a habit of giving up fourth quarter leads, but with a stout running game, it won’t matter how good the Titans Pass D is, and they just don’t have the Offensive skill players to match up.
