BUBBLE CAN Review: Night Sweats “Meth”

00Meth is a hell of a drug. I mean, I don’t know from personal experience or anything like that, but if it makes you act half as crazy as Bart and Chris on the latest “Night Sweats”, I’d say it may be best to avoid it! So how was the episode overall? Read on to find out!

In “Meth” things get crazy when Bart and Chris inadvertently create meth when trying to show the audience how to make food. More shorts from World Doctors, Don’t Feed the Humans, and City in Crisis.

This episode was pretty good, the segments with Chris and Bart got pretty crazy, especially towards the end, but it was hilarious. All of the live action segments seem extremely fun to put together.

The first segment was World Doctors, I haven’t been the biggest fan of this series, with the exception of last week, which I thought was pretty entertaining. This week my original feelings about World Doctors resurfaced, just a lot going on, things move at a quick pace, and the humor is a little tough for me to digest. A few good laughs, but not the best of this week’s shorts.

The second animated segment also didn’t do much for me, and sort of for the opposite reasons of World Doctors. It dragged on for so long and I didn’t feel like there was very much going on. The characters in the short have a lot of funny dialogue, but I feel like things took a little too long to get going. Maybe if there was a magical way to take maybe 20% of the pacing away from World Doctors and put it here, both shorts could be better.

Both Don’t Feed the Humans and City in Crisis were both great. City in Crisis is great because of it’s simplicity, it doesn’t try to throw a lot at us. It gives us a simple premise and the laughs come from the interaction between the two characters. Don’t Feed the Humans usually suffers from having too many characters and not enough time for us to get to know them, but things seemed a little more simple this week, which is great.

Overall, it was a decent episode. I enjoyed the live action segments and most of the animated ones. Not the best of the season, but certainly not the worst either. Night Sweats is probably my favorite show on Friday nights at the moment, if you haven’t jumped on board, I certainly recommend you give it a shot.
