Spoilers Below

The Moonbeam City Police Department needs to stay relevant, especially when the Fire Department is taking all of the credit from the mayor for doing a good job at not only fighting crime, but putting out fires and saving lives. To counteract this, Dazzle helps concoct a new drug as part of a fake drug epidemic that only Moonbeam City PD can fix.

The drug, “Glitzotrene” is taking hold of the city causing another drug lords how to lose a bunch of business. In the meantime, Pizzaz needs to make a villain as a the face of the drug operation and taps Rad as a make-shift drug lord that she plans on bagging at the end of the week. Unfortunately, the producer of the drug kills himself which means Pizzaz has to cut this gag short. When Moonbeam PD shows up to make the “arrest”, Rad is captured by a rival drug lord and held for captive.

Rad causes the building he is held captive in to blow up and the fire department yet again saves the day. Rad goes back to work and the Moonbeam Police Department will be staying open.

Our Take

Who would have thought that Pizzaz is just as corrupt as anybody else?

In any case, Comedy Central was touting Powers Boothe as the mayor a little more, but it’s the other guest star Trace Adkins that stole the show as Sizzle. Mainly because just when I thought this show couldn’t produce a character the level of Rad in terms of pure ridiculousness, we get thrown this guy that flies around with hoses and blasting an air horn. Sizzle was almost like a comic book super hero that is big, muscular, and shows up at the nick of time to piss of Dazzle to no end.

One of the production notes that i had for the episode was excellent uses of shading effects on characters in darkened situations. Shows made in Japan for three times the budget don’t do it as well, and that’s all Titmouse.

I would have liked to have seen more of Sizzle and his entire team because they looked hilarious. I was even expecting a bit more of a rivalry between Dazzle and Sizzle, but that didn’t happen. Chrysalis was good for a cameo at best, but Rad was awesome as a drug lord, especially when he’s crying about being hurt which is very Saving Private Ryan, but I’ll take it.
