Review: Be Cool, Scooby Doo “Trading Chases”
Spoilers Below
A monster named Sobek is running around an Egyptian museum terrorizing everyone, and guess who just happens to swing by? THE SCOOBY DOO CREW! That said, Fred and museum curator, Jeff decide to have a bet that they couldn’t do each others’ jobs so they switch. That means Jeff is leading the Scooby crew to solve this mystery and Fred is leading a group of kids on a trip down memory lane. Eventually, the two teams decide to join forces to solve the mystery, which they do, and find out that Sobek is actually Professor Salazar whom is trying to rob the museum for personal gain.
Our Take
I loved this episode of Scooby Doo because it brought back a time when Ancient Egypt’s scariest elements were mummies and stories of plagues instead of nowadays stories about Egypt being about terrorism and violent rioting.
Not to get too political, and I really shouldn’t, because we got another solid episode of Be, Cool Scooby Doo. Fred and Jeff swapping places was a hilarious idea. Watching Fred lead a bunch of children into mystery solving could be a show onto its own. I also wish I paid more attention to Jeff, but I couldn’t help but giggle at the numerous times the monster was trying to chase Scooby and Shaggy, but rushing through a hallway that featured caricatures that looked just like the leading characters. A lot of fun and innovation is laden throughout this show, and is the glue that’s keeping me in my chair.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
