Review: Be Cool, Scooby-Doo! “Poodle Justice”
Spoilers Below
There is a gargoyle terrorizing the local TV set, so Scooby Doo and crew scope it out all the while Scooby tries not to fall in love with the star of the show for Poodle Justice. The gargoyle chases everyone all over the place and even causes the TV crew to quit until further notice. With half of the Scooby crew now working in TV production, it’s up to Fred and the others to figure out who this gargoyle is. A break in the case happens when the gargoyle wears Daphe’s fake beard, leaving behind a bunch of plaster crumbs. Fred sets up a trap for the monster, and eventually encases it in cement. The culprit? The bitch assistant director!
Our Take
A less obvious culprit, I actually had it narrowed down to her and the landlord of the building. In any case, one of the things I’ve been most impressed about when it comes to the show is the van. The show producers have embraced modern tech like tablets and mobile phones, and the van is the pinnacle of it all. It turns into a number of different vehicles and acts as an on-premises laboratory that helps get the job done.
I also love gargoyles. The TV show was great, and I don’t know why they aren’t used more often in areas that aren’t Batman-related. Fortunately, they worked here, and Daphne had be really laughing with the beard. As a matter of fact, she’s been good all week, but now her silliness is starting to have impact on the plot. Works for me!
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
