#MetalocalypseNow Rally Planned for Hulu HQ

I’ll never forget in 2008 as I’m walking downtown NYC heading into Penn Station and on my block there was an Obama rally and across the street there was another rally for Obama’s Republican opponent Mitt Romney, and to the left of that rally was a rally promoting The Dark Knight complete with people chanting “We Believe in Harvey Dent”. To this day, I have no idea what people were chanting in either of the political rallies, but I still remember The Dark Knight one.

The point is that words do have meaning, and when you have a bunch of people in a particular area chanting words then those words become ideas and those ideas hopefully become real. The organizers of the #MetalocalypseNow movement are hoping this rings true as Brendon Small and Co. have announced that they plan on having a Costume Contest Rally on October 30th at Hulu HQ. The poster is labeling this “The Final Showdown” and fans are encouraged to bring their signs and dress up as their favorite Metalocalypse characters and show support for bringing back Metalocalypse for one more go on Hulu.com.
