In a recent Live Facebook Q&A, Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn made it be known that not only has he not had a chance to watch the animated series adaptation currently airing its first season on Disney XD, but he thinks the soundtrack is rather lame.

“I have not seen it,” Gunn responded to questioning. “I think it’s interesting. I hope it’s good. I don’t like the sound track too much. I don’t like it, but other than that it seems really good.”

That’s a nice way of saying he has no interest in watching it, and the soundtrack isn’t helping things. This is the second major name to come out against the show in recent weeks, as recently Howard Stern had mentioned on his show that he couldn’t even get past the first few minutes.  Me? I like to take things on a case-by-case basis and then do an overall look at the whole season before I make my final conclusion.

Guardians of the Galaxy premieres a new episode this Saturday Night only on Disney XD. The name of the episode is called “Take the Milano and Run” and in it the Guardians crash land on a space station run by the Grandmaster, who schemes to get Drax back in the gladiatorial arena to battle his ultimate opponent: Gamora.
