BubbleCAN: Bento Box opens up office up North

Just under a year ago we reported on Bento Box Entertainment producing original content for Teletoon at Night. Well, since then, Teletoon at Night is pretty much just Adult Swim Canada at this juncture and along with content being produced by Blue Ant Media like Night Sweats, it looks as though the network is continuing to build out it’s original content with one of the best animation studios on the planet.

Enter this news that sees Corus Entertainment pretty much give free office space in Toronto to Bento Box to form Bento Box Canada. The producer for Bob’s Burgers, The Awesomes, and more is opening up an office in the North to begin production on a new series called The Pandas. 

From creators Mikael Wulff and Anders Morgenthaler,The Pandas is an irreverent, animated family comedy full of hard jokes, whimsical wonder, biting satire and just the right amount of heart.

Not only will the Canadian produced content premiere sometime in 2016 for the aforementioned Canadian network, but Bento Box will internationally distribute the series geared towards an 18-34 male demo so expect American networks to start bidding for a lot of this.
