Bubbleblabber vs Carl’s Stone Cold Pick of the NFL Week 7: Bills vs Jags (2015)

After last week, Carl is at a .500 win percentage, while I’m definitely struggling in the win/loss column after both of us picked the Titans to win. This week, we’ve got the yearly reminder that NFL Europe was a thing in a match up between the Bills and the Jaguars. Here’s what Carl has picked:

Now let’s get down to business on both sides of the football:

Buffalo Bills

bills

I like what Rex Ryan has done with this Bills team. The rushing defense is rather stellar, and LeSean McCoy seems to have found himself on the offensive side of the football which is important because it allows the Bills to setup the play-action that should suit the rookie QB better (yes, it looks as though Taylor MAY play). The passing game on both sides of the ball needs a lot of work, and it’ll probably take another year before we see the team make strides there, but there’s a lot to like here,

Jacksonville Jaguars

jags

This team is yet again a mess, but I think it MAY be in the right direction. Blake Bortles seems to be the right guy, the issue is he just doesn’t have anyone to throw to or hand off to. Fortunately, the Colts are a mess, and the Texans aren’t much better despite last week’s result, so there’s actually still time for this team to turn things around and maybe make a season out of things. Just not today.
