Shorts Review: Vixen Episode 4
Spoilers Below
A chase ensues between Flash/Arrow and Mari which ends in Mari flying away all the while throwing veiled insults at the DC Heroes. Mari shows up at Mr. McAllister’s office, and is finally betrayed by someone whom she thought was her confidant.
Our Take
While the chase-action sequences were excellent, I couldn’t help but not be impressed by Stephen Amell’s voice work. For the most part, he sounded flat, and disinterested in whatever he was reading. Fortunately, Grant Gustin was very good as the Flash, providing much-needed comic relief to the series. Mari’s dialogue had some weak moments, too.
“Show up to my doorstep, and you’ll know what it’s like to be disemboweled by a lion”
Couldn’t help but rub my forehead when I heard that one. The twist at the end was expected, but it’s not fully explained how McAllister just happened to have called in support just as Mari gets there. Overall, the plot was rather coarse, the dialogue weaker than the other episodes, but just as excited to see the finale.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
