Review: SpongeBob SquarePants “Pull Up a Barrel”
Spoilers Below
The restaurant is rained in, so Mr. Krabs tells his staff a story all about a pirate ship. This pirate ship is commandeered by a Captain that believes in serving his ship mates terrible food, which is everything the chef is against. Soon, the chef finds himself in jail for trying to serve good food, but escapes in time (thanks to two watch guards that aren’t very good at their job) to watch a rival pirate ship come stormin’. The chef has to step in to save the day despite the fact that the ship he’s on features fake cannons. Using thrown away food as ammo, the chef is able to take down the rival pirate ship, and capture the remaining pirates trying to do battle on board. That said, it isn’t long before the rival captain is set free by way of delicious food.
Our Take
In case if you weren’t able to guess. The Captain in Krabs’ story was Patrick, the chef was Krabs, the rival Captain was Sandy, and the two guards that let Krab out of his holding was Spongebob and Squidward. That’s right, it’s a concept we’ve seen a number of times before in other cartoons, but this one was really funny. The turning point for me was finding out that the cannons were decorative, and Patrick’s explanation as a result. Also, less we forget, Patrick was pretty much dressed up like Cap’n Crunch. Loved it.
SCORE
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
