Review: Pickle and Peanut “Pickle the Falcon Master / Pickle Adopts a Family”

“Pickle the Falcon Master

Pickle gets a falcon and names it Lil’ Pickle and he decides to enter it into a contest with Wayne’s falcon whom is quite a bit more impressive than Pickle’s effort. After some intense training, we get to the competition and the battle is fierce, but the two falcons end up being friends and Lil Pickle wins.

Our Take

That other falcon was out of control, and there were a bunch of funny moments this week. Pickle spitting food into his bird’s mouth only for the bird to spit into Peanut’s mouth really was disgusting. Now back to the other falcon, I’m pretty sure it had nipples, and Lil Pickle definitely was sporting a switchblade one point in the episode. The competition drill has been done a lot, but this one was all master.

Pickle Adopts a Family”

Pickle wins a prize from a Russian cereal that turns out to be little creatures that run around and multiply like crazy (think the Gremlins). Eventually, Pickle doesn’t want them anymore, so he takes them and leaves them in the woods, only to start missing them like crazy. Pickle and Peanut end up trying to get the little monsters back but learn that these things are possessed and they are better off in the woods.

Our Take

This episode became one of the most bat-shit crazy of the lot so far. Death metal on Disney XD? Never thought I’d see the day. These little creatures are as important to this franchise as MeeSeeks was for Rick and Morty. Moreoever, this show is certainly stretching the boundaries as to what Disney networks are usually known for, and as such, this series might be part of some sort of renaissance.
