Nickelodeon announces Fall 2015 Schedule
Myself and Gonzo Green are usually good to have SOME sort of debate once or twice a month, and for the month of September we kicked things off with a rousing debate on Nickelodeon’s ridiculous scheduling. Thankfully, it appears we are about to get some good news that should quell both of our firm stances, because Nickelodeon has announced a new Friday Night Fall 2015 Lineup that, I hope, sticks around for a while.
Starting Friday, September 18th, Nick debuts a new prime-time cartoon lineup featuring old and new returning shows. What’s returning is Spongebob Squarepants, Harvey Beaks, and Sanjay and Craig. What’s new is the first season continuation of Nick’s newest series Pig Goat Banana Cricket.
For those that don’t know, Pig Goat Banana Cricket is a show that features a series of absurd interwoven stories about four friends and roommates, Pig (the fool), Goat (the artist), Banana (the wise-guy) and Cricket (the brain). Created by Dave Cooper and J. Ryan and executive produced by David Sacks (The Simpsons, Regular Show), who co-writes with J. Ryan. Dave Cooper also art directs the series and the pilot was directed by independent animator Nick Cross.
Check out the Friday, September 18th lineup down below:
SpongeBob SquarePants – 7:30 p.m.
“Pull Up A Barrel” – Mr. Krabs regales SpongeBob with tales from his old Navy days.
Harvey Beaks – 8:00 p.m.
“King of Pranks” – Harvey pulls off the biggest prank on Littlebark Grove, but by not wanting to upset anyone with the truth, he has to keep it going and going.
Sanjay and Craig – 8:15 p.m.
“And Justice For Durdle” – Noodman files a lawsuit against Farmer Larry that could cost him Blueberry Farm and his beloved hounds.
Pig Goat Banana Cricket – 8:30 p.m.
“Let’s Get Tiny” – Pig wants to help a whale with his blowhole, Goat sides with some misfit paintings after being accused of stealing from a museum, Cricket helps a team of bacteria cheerleaders win their match, and Banana plots to get his old boss back.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
