Shorts Review: Mickey Mouse “Wish Upon A Coin,”

Mickey tries to make a wish in a wishing well, but someone takes off with a bunch of coins so Mickey has to go on after him while Minnie fends off angry members of Snow White’s Seven Dwarves. Mickey is able to get all of the coins back, throw them down the well, and everyone’s wishes come true.

Our Take

I’m torn on this one. On one hand, it’s a beautiful opening featuring the classic Snow White, which if you were to tell me was put together by the same hands that did it 50 or so years ago, I would believe you. Then BOOM half-way through we get another ”Mickey chasing someone down the street”. Seriously, we couldn’t think of ANYTHING else? Still though, the art direction is Disney Animation’s finest work on television and one or two laughs were definitely had.
