Shorts Review: Guardians of the Galaxy ‘Drax – Part 1 & Part 2’

Perhaps out of all of the shorts that have aired thus far for Guardians of the Galaxy, the Drax collection was the strongest. Fans looking for a direct adaptation from the film will be happy to see a lot of the elements that made the Dave Batista-played character one of the best. Drax’s sense of humor really doesn’t show up until the second short, but his fighting skills are on full display in the first one. Drax’s insatiable appetite in wanting to destroy Ronan remains the same, but we also get a character trait that seems to show compassion for others which isn’t something we really got to see in the feature-film.
Overall, the Drax shorts featured the best depiction of the Guardians of the Galaxy cast yet with the exception of Groot. We also saw some fantastic action sequences, stellar art direction in the fight scenes, all in under five minutes. Imagine what the producers can do with 22-minutes?

Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
