Shearer speaks after making ‘Simpsons’ deal
We nearly had a catastrophe with the upcoming Season of The Simpsons as Harry Shearer went Dez Bryant and decided to hold out until his contractual demands were met. Thankfully, The Simpsons producers were able to come to terms with Mr. Shearer, and now the voice of 21 Simpsons characters is speaking out since making his deal. Not surprisingly, Harry’s goal is to come off like a hero:
“All I can say is, it wasn’t a stunt,” said Shearer.
That’s right, folks! Having open negotiations between your employers via Twitter is absolutely NOT a stunt. Nope…not at all. Examples of stunts include behind closed-door negotiations between agents and studios until a deal is done, and if nothing is done, you move on and pick different people.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
