Review: Regular Show ”The Parkie Awards”

Benson doesn’t win an award for best park at ”The Parkie Awards” so he gets rather annoyed. He ends up stealing Gene’s trophy and taking the park employees for a night on the town. They return to Wing Kingdom so that Benson can give the speech he never gave, but he ends up summoning the spirits of past nominees. At first a big fight ensues, but everyone calms down just as Gene shows up and takes back his trophy. No bother, Benson gets another trophy from his park crew.
Our Take
This week’s episode of Regular Show gave me all the feels for a multitude of reasons. Not just because of the heart warming moments featuring the park team and Benson, but because the episode hit everything we’ve come to know about the show. Rivalries, fantastical moments, the best choreographed fights in cartoons (and this one is right up there with the 100th episode). There aren’t any MAJOR plot points to dwell on, and while I’m not a fan of montages, I seemed to enjoy this one more than most. But, if you’re someone just getting into the series, this isn’t a bad place to start.

There's got to be some kind of twist that's going to happen with this. I don't know if they're setting up an April Fool's joke now or what's going on, but it seems too strange that they'd suddenly reverse on doing a fourth and fifth season after the show was already renewed and they were even just talking about working on those seasons like a couple months ago or something. Or maybe the two episodes yet to release will secretly somehow each be like a "season" in themselves?
