A Violent ‘Castlevania’ animated series is in the works

Collider.com recently ran an interview with Adi Shankar, and in it, the producer of one of the biggest game franchises of the last few decades aka Castlevania, says that he is working on an animated series adaptation for the game.

If you want to know the Cliff’s Notes from the discussion, Adi mentions he was working with Frederator studios (Cartoon Hangover), the story will be inspired by Castlevania III, and he counts Akira, Ghost in a Shell, Ninja Scroll, Young Justice as influences for the look of the series. Oh yea, and he promises lots of violence.
