Sky gets ‘The Muppets’; First-look at Miss Piggy’s setup
The UK and Ireland won’t be left out in the cold with the brand-new season of The Muppets as Sky 1 has picked up the show for distribution this fall season according to The Hollywood Reporter.
This fall, The Muppets return to prime time with a series that, for the first time ever, will explore the Muppets’ personal lives and relationships, both at home and at work, as well as romances, break-ups, achievements, disappointments, wants and desires; a more adult Muppet show, for kids of all ages.
No word on a UK premier date, but cast and crew for The Muppets will be on hand at San Diego Comic Con. Officially, The Muppets are now set to premier in the U.S., Canada, and now UK/Ireland so this show is going to get a bunch of fan bases and should help reinvigorate a franchise for a new generation. Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
