Christopher Nolan to Re-release Quay Brothers Films, Make Documentary
While we still don’t know what Christopher Nolan’s major motion picture follow-up to Interstellar will be, he’ll be working in animation in the meantime.
Specifically, he’s producing a documentary about early stop-motion pioneers Stephen and Timothy Quay, and will also be re-releasing a selection of their films.
Nolan’s Syncopy production company has joined forces with Zeitgeist films to make the Quay Brothers films available on Blu-ray this summer, and New York City’s Film Forum will screen three of them – In Absentia, The Comb, and Street of Crocodiles — in new 35mm prints starting on August 19th.
Nolan and the brothers will be present on the opening evening of the festival, with Nolan also premiering his documentary, Quay, which shows “the inner workings of the Brothers’ studio.” All three will take part in a Q&A afterwards.
For those living in smaller and/or shittier cities, the Zeitgeist website has a list of other dates, and a Blu-ray of the aforementioned films will be available there on October 20th.
For some background, Stephen and Timothy were born in Pennsylvania in 1947, and currently work in London. Their work is known for its color, texture, dark humor, and fantastical miniaturized sets.

"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
