Star Wars Rebels Does a Second Fly-By This Summer

In what was a debated topic between myself and our Editor-in-Chief, John Blabber, we were trying to decide when Star Wars Rebels will have their season two premiere. Well, we recently got our answer, and it’s on Saturday, June 20th at 9 p.m. The one hour premiere, “The Siege of Lothal,” was screened exclusively at Star Wars Celebration a couple of weeks back. There is a bit of bad news, though. The rest of the season isn’t airing until the fall, probably October like season one. The big draw for season two is the bigger role for Vader, and the introduction of Clone Wars alums Ashoka Tano, as well as the trio of characters voiced be Dee Bradley Baker, Captain Rex, Wolffe and Gregor.

But that isn’t all. This Monday is unofficially Star Wars Day, May the Fourth, and with that, Disney XD is doing a full weekend of Star Wars – themed specials and shows. Here’s a brief run down.

-“Star Wars Rebels: The Ultimate Guide,” a half-hour special recapping the entire first season of “Star Wars Rebels” will debut Monday, May 4 (8:00 p.m., ET/PT)

-Marathons of “Star Wars Rebels” season one and “LEGO Star Wars: The New Yoda Chronicles.”

-Sneak peek at “LEGO Star Wars: Droid Tales,” an all-new series of event specials that will premiere on Disney XD this summer.

-Star Wars-inspired episodes of “Phineas and Ferb,” “Kickin’ It” and “Lab Rats.”
