Review: World Break: Aria of Curse for a Holy Swordsman “The Nightmare from a Former Life”
Leave it to Moroha to redraw the Russian borders, and bring a new metaphysical. The new Metaphysical, coupled with something else, even brought Ando down, possibly for the count. However, that doesn’t stop all of the females from having a pajama party to break the tension of Moroha staying in Russia. Ando finally woke up, and gave a really grave news to Sir Edward. The Ancient Dragon is incoming, and shit is about to get real. If you remember, this is the fight that started off the series.
Most of “The Nightmare from a Former Life” is more of an exercise in team building. From the pajama party, to setting up for the dragon attack, everything was to make the Strikers a better team. It would have worked if the Strikers weren’t completely overwhelmed and outclassed. There is something definitely different from this dragon, because it’s able to counter any spell anyone throws at it.
We get “The Nightmare from a Former Life”‘s prerequisite “I remember everything,” and this time it’s all about the dragon. This is a little flimsy, because he remembers it from a distance. While he’s chilling, trying to remember what this dragon is about, his entire team is fucked, trying to figure out a way to defend the school and the principal. The same principal, in fact, that is trying to kill time so she can just teleport him back to the school.
“The Nightmare from a Former Life” was a pretty good episode, but the execution of Moroha just remembering this was flimsy. I think if there was no mention of Moroha outside of “He’s back in Russia, kicking more ass,” it would have served a better purpose. As far as I know, he was only showed the damage of the attack, not what was actually going on. If the end of the episode was written differently, and it was the after-credits scene, it would have served “The Nightmare from a Former Life” better. To that point, the rest of the episode was pretty well done, and gives me hope that the Strikers will actually be cohesive for the end of the season. By cohesive, I mean that they play good cheerleaders while Moroha kills a dragon.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
