Review: Maria the Virgin Witch “War Feeds on War”
Well, Maria found herself in a pickle, didn’t she? The titular character went against Joseph’s wishes, and went to the latest battlefield to save him, as well as Anne’s father. This seems to be the one constant, and it’s going to literally kill her if she keeps going against the wishes of Archangel Michael. Oh, and if you didn’t understand, Ezekiel showed everyone at the battlefield exactly what she’s capable of in spear form.
It seems like Michael made a tweak to automatically change Ezekiel into a weapon now, whenever Maria does magic to save someone at a battlefield. Ezekiel wasn’t anywhere near the battlefield, and still in dove form, then she passed through the holy circle of spear-itude, and she made a bee-line to Maria. However, she was still sentient, and was able to not kill her. I think this was the final straw to have Ezekiel finally make the jump to pro-Maria, no matter what Michael and the holy rollers want to happen.
I’m glad to see that the plot is coming around, and making changes. Even the Viv and the witches guild are making a play to get Maria to join. I don’t see Maria joining in the near future, but it was definitely different to see the guild finally making a play instead of just commentating from the sidelines on Maria interfering. Even Viv showed concern, even though you never know if it was because of sincere caring, or if it were because it screws plans she has. She is still quite an unknown variable at this point.
With that said, it seems like this is going to set up a nice chain of events going into the season finale in a few weeks. There’s five episodes, and I am sure Ezekiel not hitting her mark doesn’t exactly sit well in the holy palace in the sky. This was as much exposition as it was anything else, and finished a pretty good story that was evolving within Ezekiel. Next week should be interesting.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
