Review: Axe Cop ‘Mark Frankenstein’

Spoilers Below
Gray Diamond decides to quit the force because he doesn’t have a very good battle cry. He ends up going to a pawn shop to sell his diamond for petty cash when we find out that Gray used to be known as Mark Frankenstein. A mummy shows up and buys the gray diamond that helps him turn into half man, half everything. Doing this causes the creature to suck up everyone’s souls leaving Mark Frankenstein as the only one left to win. Armed with Axe Cop’s axe, Mark destroys the huge monster and returns everyone’s souls. And guess what? Now he has a new battle cry!
Our Take
I was kinda hoping that the revelation that Gray Diamond is important, would lead itself to someone with new powers, however we just got another axe-wielder. It’s not the worst thing in the world, but I think a little variety woulda went a long way. The battle between Gray Diamond and the big monster didn’t seem very 50/50 rather the monster had the upper hand right up until Gray got a hold an axe and just went to town. I would’ve preferred a more epic battle, and again, showcase some unique powers from Gray. I loved the idea of the mummy, and kinda thought he should have gone longer, as I didn’t feel the character design for the half man-half everything monster was all that special. It isn’t everyday where Axe Cop needs someone else’s help, but that wasn’t enough to lift this one.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
