Review: Randy Cunningham: 9th Grade Ninja “Debbie Meddle / Aplopalypse Now”
Spoilers Below
“Debbie Meddle
Debbie finds out that Randy is the ninja and she threatens to announce it on her podcast. Randy knocks her out and heads over and gets Howard, but Debbie has been sent to the Nomicon. Randy heads after her, but Debbie leaves and finds her evidence deleted. Unfortunately, Debbie grabs Randy’s book and heads to television. Randy’s still dealing with obstacles in his book, but wakes up just in time to see Debbie on the air. Debbie tells all and McFist sends a robot after Randy to destroy him. Randy wins, and Howard puts together an effigy which proves that Randy isn’t the ninja after all. Debbie looks like a loser, but she gets mind-wiped.
Our Take
A rather exciting episode. As a matter of fact, this is the best two episodes of Randy that I’ve seen. I really thought that Randy was going to be had right up until the end there, though I was glad to see Howard saved the day in the end. The episode almost went off like an episode of Scandal or something, really can’t explain it. In any case, I’d like to see more of Debbie because I think she’s a worthy, but innocent-looking, adversary.

Aplopalypse Now
Randy and Howard have a mission which sees them go underground to find one of the Sorceror’s balls under guardianship. Randy and Howard decide to take the Guardian from his day job and go see a movie. The guardian really should be going back, instead he heads to a restaurant with the guys and chows down on some spicy as hell food. The problem is, the longer this guy is free from his gig, the more susceptible he is to being taken over by the Sorceror’s control. Plop plop eventually goes nuts, and eventually turns into a monster named Chaos. The Nomicon changes it back to Plop plop, and Howard and Randy go and wash dishes…or do they?
Our Take
The ending was the best part, but overall I really liked to see a ‘Sorceror’-centric episode of Randy. For the first time in a while, I felt like we got some progression as to what Randy’s purpose is in being a ninja in the first place, and I hope we get more of that.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
