Cartoon Network’s ‘Adventure Time’ Wins a Peabody
Adventure Time was awarded a distinguished Peabody honor in the children’s entertainment category. The series, produced by Cartoon Network Studios, was praised for the show’s “uniquely imagined, truly odd fantasy world, and for stories about exploration and adventure to help kids work through their anxieties about growing up and maturing.” All of this year’s nominees will receive their honors at the Peabody Awards Ceremony in New York City on May 31. This is what the Peabody committee had to say on their site:
An animated amalgam of sci-fi, fantasy, horror and fairy tale, it chronicles the escapades of an odd-looking human boy named Finn and his best friend, a shape-shifting dog named Jake, in the surreal Land of Ooo. Purely and wonderfully imaginative in the manner of classic theatrical cartoons past, it entertains even as it subtly teaches lessons about growing up, accepting responsibility, and becoming who you’re meant to be.”

"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
