Review: The Jack and Triumph Show ”Siri”
Spoilers Below
Jack gets June a new iPad and she loves it because it features ”Siri”. Siri becomes a useful tool in helping June, a probable Alzheimer’s patient, remember important things. Eventually, Triumph grows sick of Siri, and implants a virus via her iPad that then causes the entire network of Siri-enabled devices to become rather ineffective. In an attempt to get a fix, Jack and Triumph head to an Apple Store, but are under arrest by the store employees. We head into a back room and meet the voice of Siri whom is all depressed, but instead of fixing her, the agent in charge decides to enlist Jack as the new Siri.
The problem with the new Jack-Siri is that it has effectively killed porn thereby making every man in America absolutely insane. The Apple guys return and Chloroform Jack and Triumph back to the room from before. While there, Jack has to take on Siri-Jack in a ‘Jack-off’ which causes the iPad to short-circuit and as such saves internet porn for everyone.
Our Take
What The Jack and Triumph Show has done is incredible. They have given Adult Swim its answer to Comedy Central’s South Park in that they take concepts that are so everyday, like Apple’s Siri which has already seen it’s fair share of parody, but the producers make the jokes their own by coming up with grandiose concept. Similar to the way South Park showcased the absurdity of such products as cable TV, the Shake Weight, and Nintendo Wii, the producers of The Jack and Triumph Show picked Apple week to showcase the absurd douchiness that often attracts itself to the Apple brand. Triumph the Insult Comic Dog is the hero for the common guy whom only has a cheap Android phone while he takes a lunch pail to work, and our furry friend helps deliver a whole mess of new jokes to which can be used as future ammo.
Speaking of ammo, Triumph had a lot of it for this week’s episode. For starters, he not only desecrated the Apple de-hards whom wait online for the latest gadgets, he even invited Jack to help out. We also had a lot of fun guest stars like Chris Meloni, some other dude from The Sopranos that I don’t feel like researching, and the Siri lady (I think). Joey Fatone has worked his way into this cast the same way Lucky Yates did on Archer as Krieger, and as such, will be a fan favorite moving forward. I could start highlighting all of Triumph’s jokes, but really you should start watching this show, because every line is solid gold and I would basically be regurgitating the entire script.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
