Review: Stone Quackers ‘TwentyOneTwelve (FKA My Funny Ratenstein)’

This is it, Dottie finally decides to setup a date with Barry where he can come over, meet her friends, get their approval, and finally have the affair she’s always wanted. Barry seems to think it’s a perfect time to divorce his wife and start anew, so he heads on over to Dottie’s house with cheese and wine as a way to soften the beaches.

Meanwhile, Whit, Clay, and Barf are all training Gothfield so that he can be a more efficient mouse killer. Eventually, Dottie introduces Barry to her mice best friends to which one of them gives birth all over Barry’s uniform. Whit breaks in just as Dottie is about to go nuts on Barry and in comes Gothfield who kills all of the offspring. A fight ensues between Barf, dressed as a mouse, and the cat and among all of the commotion Barry’s pamphlet and wedding ring spill out onto the floor. As a result, Barry and Dottie decide to take things slower.

Our Take

I love Gothfield, he’s almost like the non-speaking Stewie for Stone Quackers. He’s got a personality all his own that you wouldn’t expect from a kitty. That said, I really enjoyed this week’s episode, but I would have liked a few tweeks. For example, we haven’t seen Barry’s family in a while, I would’ve liked to have seen some sort of a flash back where we get to see exactly why Barry wants to leave his family and pursue other opportunities. Reason being, most people might be like, ”Why would Barry want to shack up with crazy, Dottie?” and the flashback would help answer that. Yes, Dottie has a lot wrong with her, but compared to Barry’s family she’s a box full of kittens. I would have also liked to have seen a more in depth training sequence with Gothfield, but really we have another strong episode, and how can you say no to Mozz sticks and wine?
