Review: Randy Cunningham: 9th Grade Ninja “Mastermind of Disastermind / The Brawn Also Rises”

Spoilers Below

“Mastermind of Disastermind

Randy and Howard get into a competition as to who is the master mind of the group. Evil Julian gets wind of this and decides to use Howard’s influence to have Randy hand over a sphere that gives big time power. Randy does so, and it sets Julian nuts and sets off a fight between a Robo-Julian and Randy. With the help of Howard’s booby traps, Randy gets the wind but it may not be the last we hear of Julian.

It’s about time we get some new serious villains aside from McFist and the Sorceror. The mastermind competition was kind of regular, and by the end of it I didn’t care who won. But, the fight Randy had with the robot was very well done and maybe the best part of the whole 30 minutes.

The Brawn Also Rises”

Randy and Howard lie about finding some fabled creature, but when Brawn shows up he tries to take credit for it as well. Turns out, Brawn is a monster, and Randy has to fight him. Randy and Howard come clean about their supposed evidence of finding the chupacabra and blah blah.

This episode was so damn boring I didn’t even like recapping it. The dialogue was so coarse and annoying I just didn’t care about anything else about the episode. The Brawn bored the hell out of me, and so did this episode.
