Review: Assassination Classroom “Test Time”
Okay, so within the first few seconds, Assassination Classroom hit it out of the park with a Naruto reference. And I had to restart “Test Time” before it really started because I was laughing too hard. If you blink, you will miss it. So, keep your eyes peeled.
Most of the first half on “Test Time” revolved around the principal of the school, Taisei Yoshida. Yoshida wants Koro-Sensei to tank the midterms so E-Class stays the E-Class, and gives incentive to the rest of the school to do well. The second half is Koro-Sensei telling the students to give the main campus the finger, and telling the class they need to be in the top 50. This was ingenious.
What made the episode even better was how the proctor was shitting himself when he saw the students getting the problems. The fantasy of these questions, when the questions turned into monsters, it made test taking almost seem sense. This turned around on Koro-Sensei, though, because Yoshida added extra material that actually screwed the students. The end of “Test Time” actually solidified the class as a whole. I really hope the students are able to throw the school into a state of upheaval. The writing is on the wall that it could happen.
“Test Time” shied away from the two episode feel that “Assembly Time” had, and made a more cohesive story. I am happy to see that a show, even one as unexpected as Assassination Classroom, hasn’t faltered yet, and shows no signs of it slowing down. Sonny Strait as Koro-Sensei showed great range, going from happy, to angry, to subservient, to sad, back to angry. This has been the most impressive episode Sonny Strait has done yet, and shows how much he has grown since his days as Krillin and Ussop. These other shows have to step their game up.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
