Nigerian-produced trailer for ‘EXO’ shows American Promise
Although the trailer looks rather early and is produced in Maryland by Youneek Studios, EXO: The Legend of Wale Williams is a directed and written project from Roye Okupe whom hails from Nigeria. Yes, the first trailer is early in terms of stages in development, but there’s a lot of good to come from it.
For starters, we need more action animation here in America, and this one seems to have a good plot. Inspired by an upcoming comics trilogy of the same name, EXO: The Legend of Wale Williams follows a superhero from Nigeria. Yep, it’s Lagoon City, Nigeria set in 2025, and our titular hero, Wale Williams, is tricked into coming home to try and find his missing father. The only thing Wale’s dad leaves behind is a suit that gives him powers which helps in his fight from local bad guy, Oniku.
