Can the Environment be funny? ‘Atticus’ Activists’ thinks so…

As of this writing, it will be a little over a 100 days before we see Atticus Activist, a new animated environmental comedy that claims to be  Charlie’s Angels meets Captain Planet meets Archer. That is a rather dubious claim if I do say so myself, and with nothing more than a few graphics and stills, it’s hard to gauge if any of that mumbo jumbo will come to fruition.

The series, Atticus’ Activists, follows three dazzling yet highly delusional crime fighting college women band together to form a coalition to clean up the environment by any means necessary. The series is being directed by Aldo Pisano and written by Josh Isaacson and you can follow the countdown clock here.

I remember when the Mike Judge-produced The Goode Family tried to take a stab at the early beginnings of the hipsters thing and although it was funny, it was so ahead of its time and would eventually died. Granted, Atticus’ Activists doesn’t appear to be a family-centered sitcom, but has similar plot points, so it will be interesting to see if this one takes off.
