Review: The 7D “7 Frogs / Sir Yipsalot and the Mutt”

“7 Frogs

Everyone in Jollywood turns into frogs after a spell is brought down upon them. Sounds like the Glooms, right? WRONG! Turns out there is a new Frog Witch in town and she’s turning everybody. The 7D call her out on it, but all they had to do was kiss her and WHAM, you get turned back into a human. The Frog Witch turned out to be Princess Pretty-head to whom the Queen throws a party for in honor of her recent graduation.

This one was by far the better of the two stories. For starters,  I really liked meeting a bunch of new witches, and I hope they get used more in future episodes as pose able threats besides the Glooms whom can get stale at times. Moreover, the Ren and Stimpy-inspired close-ups are always funny

 

 

 Sir Yipsalot and the Mutt”

Yipsalot and another dog that looks just like it belonging to a flea circus owner gets mixed up. The Queen, at first, thinks something is wrong with Yipsalot because the replacement dog has fleas and looks like a girl.Thankfully, the dwarves come to the rescue and realize the mix-up in time so that the circus owner can do his show and the Queen can act like a dog?

This one irked me. Not so much for the actual switcheroo, but it simply looked like the writers ran out of ideas the last five minutes of the episode, and just came up with a bunch of random shit for the Queen to do with Yips.
