Review: Stone Quackers ‘Stone Quackers V’ ”Hurricane (FKA Hurricane Car, Flippy Hair, Bug 1-3, Barry’s Beat)”

Spoilers Below

Whit and Barf head on over to Celeste’s house, but due to bad weather they get in a car accident. We come to learn Barf only wanted to take Whit over for the purposes of getting a candy bar. Eventually, the guys get there and right away they cause Clay’s emotions to go awry. We find out that Clay used to curl his hair and wax his eye brows when he was a kid, but is now in complete denial. Whit opts to make the same claims just to make his pal feel better, but it just leads to a fight.

We cut to Officer Barry driving down the street, and we actually get to meet his crazy and insane family. Also, Bug drives around a flooded town picking up animals so that they would be safe.

The best thing about this show is that it lulls you in with its sweetness, but then snaps when you get too close. Overall, the main plot for tonight’s episode didn’t really blow me away, but I really want to see more of Officer Barry’s home life. It looks like a barrel of monkeys over at that house with his wife’s mood swings and his kids doing drugs and practicing voodoo on dolls that look like their father. Pretty sick shit…and Bug. Bug COULD be the hero of this show if we only get to see a bunch more. I mean, here’s a little do-gooder of a kid just picking up animals so they can be safe, only to be mauled and raped at the end in the most fantastic of ways. I could see the writers kind of running with that, and if they do, all of the Whit/Clay/Barf stuff that happens would be the icing and just like that you could have a best new show of the year candidate.
