Review: Lucas Bros. Moving Company ”Kazaam”
Spoilers Below
On this week’s episode of Lucas Bros. Moving Company, the guys come across a boombox that supposedly gives the guys the guys three wishes. After which, they sell the box to Jerrod whom uses it to slam karaoke and we find out that the bar-tender actually has a solid singing voice. As a result, Arsenio Hall (played by Eric Andre) flies both Jerrod and the Lucas Bros. to Hollywood so that Jerrod can sing on his show. On the way to the performance, Kenny and Keef get side-tracked and have to deal with O-Mek (played by YG) from Legends of the Hidden Temple. The guys are taken prisoner, but eventually get out after they show O-Mek that the love is strong between the two. The twins escape certain death just in time to see Jerrod after his gig.
I totally remember Legends of the Hidden Temple, and O-Mek was scary as shit then, so it’s no surprise to me that he would have an abandoned studio inside of a lot where he would cause all sorts of shit. That said, I feel like this week’s episode setup two very good ideas for fun plots without really digging into either one of them. On one hand we never get to see Jerrod’s performance with Eric Andre’s ”Arsenio Hall” and on the other hand, Kenny and Keef don’t really spend that much time in the temple. I feel like if we had had 30 minutes to play with, we would have gotten better pay offs of both, but that wasn’t the case here. All of the Shaq jokes from the on-set of the episode did a lot to bevy this episode, but we need some more meat on the bone.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
