Shorts Review: Dee Tremendous – My First Date
Enter yet another new series from Bite on Mondo entitled ‘Dee Tremendous’ which follows a lovable oaf named Dee whom lives in his parents’ basement and embarks on his first date with a rather sweet girl. Unfortunately, something happens along the way that sees the one-time budding couple turning into just friends. But, I don’t think the door is closed for good.
And I hope it isn’t because Dee is a really lovable character. He sort of reminds me of a sweeter ‘Cleveland Jr.’ in that he looks to be just an innocent kid looking to figure his way through his teenage years. Show creator/writer Deepak Sethi has a lot of talent, but I personally think Joel MacKenzie is the one that sort of puts the magic in this show. His character designs eschew an almost a Dr. Katz, Professional Therapist vibe and Little Blackstone Studio helps put together a package that is certainly throwback, but very well underutilized nowadays.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
