Review: Randy Cunningham: 9th Grade Ninja “Happy Hanukkah, Howard Weinerman / Snow-Klahoma!”
Spoilers Below
“Happy Hanukkah, Howard Weinerman
McFist is looking to knock down the local arcade and rebuild it into a shoestore for his wife to manage. The caveat is, if the arcade owner is able to prove that he has plenty of working games, the town can’t shut him down. Howard stays at the ‘Game Hole’ playing the only game left while Ninja and ”Greg”the arcade owner head across town to get a bunch more games. McFist sends a bunch of robots to try and stop the duo’s truck which works but at least Ninja and the owner and Greg are only a block away leading them to have to carry the arcade machines to the front door. The arcade stays open, and gaming lives another day.
It’s not often that animated shows do Hanukah specials, so you have to commend the producers of ‘Randy Cunningham’ for doing something different. Also, extra points to any show that keeps the spirit of arcades alive!
Snow-Klahoma!”
Randy wants to take the day off fro mbeing a ninja and just have fun, but Julian’s on the loose. The Sorceror tries to get in on the action, but to no avail. Randy and Howard decide to invite Julian to a snow park and spend the day, but Howard isn’t thrilled about three’s company. As a result Howard convinces Randy to ditch Julian, but the goth one turns into some sort of mantis-like monster and attacks the park. Ninja turns the monster back to a human Julian whom is now sporting his evil alter ego’s look. Looks like we’ve got a new villain on our hands. Back at school, Randy and Howard try to remember the good times of being a ninja.
I’m liking the potential story arcs that have been introduced here. For starters, The Sorceror seems to be extra pissed off and Julian looks to be the next legit villain for Randy which already has good ones like McFist. It will be interesting to see where the show comes from here, let’s home Disney XD continues to allow us to keep taking the ride.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
