Ratings Are In 12/4/14: Charlie Brown is more popular than Toy Story
Evidently, animation is a big deal on ABC because Deadline is reporting that the Christmas specials from Toy Story and Charlie Brown have both posted ratings gains for the network during the 8 pm time slot.
That said, the Toy Story special (which did an overnight of a 1.7) got BEAT by A Charlie Brown Christmas (which counted a 2.1 rating) which is great because the latter was made 50 years ago, and the Toy Story special reportedly took two years to make.
Maybe Disney can take notes here and green-light some prime-time cartoons, no? Also interesting, Disney XD had cartoons on at the same time that ABC was showing both of their holiday specials, so I’m curious to see if they conflicted with each other at all.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
