DVD Review: Family Guy Season 12
First thing’s first, if you boot up this release and start noticing the menus don’t exactly match your cover in terms of titles…don’t be alarmed. This DVD was originally supposed to be Family Guy Volume 13, instead it’s Family Guy Season 12. Fortunately, it’s the same brand of funny either way.
For starters, you get each and every episode of the 12th season of Family Guy completely uncensored, which I gotta say, adds SO many dimensions to the original show that quite simply doesn’t really happen when you get say a Simpsons DVD. In terms of special features, we only get select audio commentaries, but the REAL sell for this release is the documentary on the development of Brian’s death. Deleted scenes are cool and all, but this special was so outstanding because it just shows how planned out the whole deal really was, and better yet, how ingrained Seth MacFarlane is with the creative process (the final design for ‘Vinnie’? Yep, that was Seth!).
The value is right there with the number of episodes you get, and wouldn’t you know it, one year later and people are still talking about the death of Brian in the first place.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
