Comics Review: Bart Simpson #93
Spoilers Below
Pen Pals
The kids at school are assigned to begin a snail mail campaign with a pen pal from a different country of which the results would be eventually presented in front of the whole school. Obviously, Bart has no interest in taking part whereas Lisa is amped to get started. Bart uses the opportunity to take Lisa’s letters, and reply from a fake country with a lineage that is completely made up. Eventually, Lisa figures out it was her brother behind the bull shit and outs him in front of the whole school. Lisa gets an ‘A’, Bart gets an ‘F’.
Zoo Game
Milhouse texts Bart and tells him that the zoo has all these crazy animals with lasers and rocket launchers and what not, so Bart heads to the zoo to check it out. Unfortunately, the zoo is nothing like what Milhouse describes, and in fact, is nothing but a zoo that gets Bart sprayed by a skunk, shot by a dart, and nearly drowned in the water. Eventually, the staff saves him, and we find out that Milhouse was talking about a new game the whole time.
This month’s issue of Bart Simpson was a rather standard issue. No real extras in terms of shorts, no Bartman or anything like that. Just good ol’ fashioned Bart that should please Simpsons fans. There’s a lot worse that you can spend $3 on.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
